As a bricklayer I can repair or replace existing garden walls according to your requirements. I can replace “like for like” or depending upon how adventurous you feel we could go for something slightly more elaborate as in the picture on the left?
I carry out garden wall repair and replacement in the Blyth, Cramlington, Bedlington, Ashington, Whitley Bay, Monkseaton, Newcastle and the surrounding areas. In fact I am happy to work anywhere within a twenty five mile radius of Blyth so if you would like to discuss a repair or a replacement to your garden wall then please use the contact form on this site and I’ll get back to you?
The process for replacing an existing brick wall is a pretty simple one. The first stage involves knocking down the old wall and getting rid of the debris. The most convenient way of doing this is normally by hiring a skip to transport the rubbish (I can arrange this for you if required?).
When the old garden wall has been cleared away this will expose the original concrete foundations upon which the original brick wall was built and from here it is simply a case of having a bricklayer (me?) build a new wall on these existing foundations.

It is important to maintain brickwork in order to prevent and make good damage from the effects of frost etc. The repair and maintenance of existing brickwork usually involves a bricklayer in removing any loose and damaged mortar before setting out on the repair itself. Depending upon the condition of the existing wall then some bricks may need to be removed and reset.

The work illustrated basically involved me in removing loose mortar along the entire wall before repointing the brickwork. As a finishing touch the top two (capping) courses of bricks were removed and replaced with new bricks.
